So, apparently FNaF World was pulled from Steam because of bad reviews. I noticed it was gone when I went to search for the game to view the discussion board (screenshot below).

Now, I'm not a vindictive bastard, right. I don't want to see anyone that puts effort into something fail. But here's the deal: This fucking asshole released a game without even finishing it, WHICH HE ADMITTED TO, just so he could make a quick profit off his fanboys and fangirls. That isn't even the reason I'm so happy to see this taken off.

The reason I'm so happy this was taken off is because of the fanboys and fangirls themselves. Seriously, they did what they could to attack anyone that criticized this game or Scott's predatory money making schemes. Frankly, I'm glad this happened because it's a giant kick in the nuts to the franchise that needed to die a long time ago because this Scott Cawthon guy has been milking it for everything it's worth even though it's a sick and dying cow and he's still trying to make it look as good as possible.

It's like this: Remember all those really bad Star Wars movies that Lucas released from 98-2005? Well, this is essentially the video game equivalent of that. You have fans defending something blindly even when it's shit at the expense of the franchise they love. You know, the fact that it won't get better unless they stop pretending it's good even when it's shit.

So, here's the thing. I'm not here to discuss FNaF World itself. There's a thread for that somewhere in the Video Game section. Instead I'm wanting to discuss two things:

Fnaf World On Steam

1) How indie game developers don't have the business finesse or experience to know how to pace the releases of their franchises (let's face it, even Activision doesn't release 2-3 Call of Duty games a year), as well as other issues indie devs have when maintaining their games.
2) How this may finally be the nail in the coffin of that dying FNaF franchise.
